Do Some Yoga
If a good sweat is what helps you relax, give hot yoga a try. While you sweat out toxins, work on your core strength and increase your flexibility, you will also work on breathing techniques that will help you release stress. Make sure you stick around for the Savasana at the end, which typically includes light meditation and of course, the best part…a light head and foot massage. Or try a Restorative / Candlelight Yoga if you are looking for complete and total relaxation. With slow and controlled movements, you will work on calming your mind and releasing tension and anxiety. By taking a few calm moments to yourself, focusing on your breathing, and clearing your mind you will find your stress and anxiety melt away. Find a nice quite spot that you can sit and relax at, listen to your breathe and focus your energy and intention directly onto it.
Go On A Beach Run / Walk
In addition to the complete fitness benefits of running on the beach, you can enjoy the serenity of your surroundings. Studies have shown that the sound of the waves crashing helps your mind relax and rejuvenates your body, this is caused by the negative ions in the sea air helps your body absorb oxygen at a higher rate leading to a more balanced level of serotonin (which is associated with mood swings and stress levels). He was the 3-time team captain and Starting Catcher at Cornell University where he earned a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management and Minored in Communication. He then went on to play baseball professionally in Australia and Hawaii. Having overcome many significant injuries throughout his playing career, he understands what it takes to sacrifice to reach for your goals. He wants everyone to have to their own opportunity to aspire to reach whatever their goals may be and created Fortis Fitness & YOGALUX to help other achieve those aspirations. Many of the pieces of equipment found at Fortis & YOGALUX were used by either Adam or his teammates throughout his career. When not greeting the great members at Fortis & YOGALUX, Adam can be found taking one of the many classes, playing beach volleyball, going for a run, coaching baseball or volunteering in the community at various non-profit organizations.
