Melanie started practicing Bikram yoga eighteen years ago as a way to incorporate flexibility into her usual strength and training workouts. It wasn’t until years later that she realized the shift from the physical practice to working the mind, body and soul. In 2012, she took a sabbatical from her life as a chef and moved to Encinitas to do her teacher training. While her intent was never to teach, simply to grow her practice, she found when she returned home she was drawn towards helping others find their growth through their practice. She finally retired her chef pants and traded them in for yoga pants. Her classes are challenging, focusing on mindful movements, pushing your body and mind past your self-imposed limits.
